We invite you to become involved in Millikan Middle School PTSA. We need reliable, interested people to volunteer their time and talent and share ideas. In doing so, you will be making a valuable contribution to our students and their school experience.

The following is a list of the types of volunteer opportunities you can take advantage of:

  • Fund-raising projects
  • Food Drive and Thanksgiving baskets
  • Reflections Program
  • PTSA Association meeting participation
  • PTSA Membership
  • Business Sponsorship's
  • Flyers
  • Hospitality

Our PTSA has a number of committees to help us deliver our programs.  You will find some details about these committees below:

M.A.C Fund Program

Millikan’s Annual Contribution Fund, known as the M.A.C. Fund, supports Millikan Middle School’s enthusiastic students, its dedicated teachers and administrators who strive for the best education and richest academic experience possible.

This team plans and executes the program, reaching out to parents at given opportunities to explain the value of their contributions and facilitating the payments to PTSA via check, cash or by clicking the image below to pay by credit card.

Business Sponsorship

We offer sponsorship opportunities through partnering with local businesses, providing a mechanism for exposure to our Millikan families and surrounding community with business banners on our school fence; flyers and online marketing.

Birthday Grams

For $10 you can purchase a birthday message on the school electronic marquee board for your child's birthday!  Kids love seeing their names up in lights!

This team identify opportunities to operate FUNdraisers for Millikan families to enjoy, and for the whole population to benefit from.  From extravaganzas to restaurant nights.... the opportunities are endless, but without volunteers to fun these events - they are non-existent!

We want you to be up to date with everything that is happening at Millikan!  This team looks after our Membership Toolkit database; write regular newsletters and email updates; manage our website interface and ensure students are kept u-to-date via loud speaker announcements and posters around the campus.

We like to offer refreshments at our PTSA Member meetings and hold bake sales and other yummy offerings at our various fundraisers.  This team also make sure our Millikan Staff feel the love and host the Staff Appreciation brunches/lunches during the year.  If you are a baker, or just love to play host... please get in touch!

Food Drive & Thanksgiving Baskets

At times there are local or national natural disasters that we face, and this team supports these in addition to collecting food donations to make thanksgiving baskets for our Millikan families in need.

Designed to enhance rather than replace a quality arts education, the Reflections Program provides opportunities for students to express themselves and to receive positive recognition for their artistic efforts.

PTA believes all children deserve a quality arts education and encourages students to pursue artistic expression through participation in its annual arts Reflections Program. The program offers students the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. Students in preschool through grade 12 are encouraged to create and submit works of art in six areas: dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and the visual arts (which includes art forms such as drawing, painting, print making, and collage). For nearly 40 years, the program has encouraged millions of students across the nation and in American schools overseas to create works of art.

Students participate in the Reflections Program by submitting entries to their PTSA.
